I just wanted to say a quick hello to let you know that I haven't disappeared! I am really bad at regularly posting just about anywhere. That said, I just wanted to let you know what I've been up to, and what I hope to be putting out soon.
First off, I moved! I have been looking for an apartment for several months, and I have finally moved into one not far from either of my 2 jobs. The photo above is the part that I worked the hardest on: my coffee/tea station! I may do a post in the future about which ones I like and such.

I've also been hard at work. Doing 2 jobs is a struggle, let me tell you. I'm pretty exhausted, but I'm trying to intentionally take time to invest in myself and in others. As I've believe I've mentioned before, one of my jobs is in food service. For that job I cannot have my nails painted. When I don't work there I have my nails painted, but I do have to take off my polish before I go to my food service job. Peel off base coats are my best friends! I thought about doing a comparison post about the peel off base coats, but that would be really boring and I may as well just tell you that the UNT Ready for Takeoff is my favorite.

I have a bunch of posts written to share with y'all, but I need to take photos to go with them. Honestly that has always been the hardest part. Hopefully in my new place I can find a spot with good lighting so I can crank these photos out. Some of the posts you can keep an eye out for are a collection post, nail care, reviews of some indie polishes, and of course more nail art!

Don't worry guys, I'm not trying to disappear, you will see more from me soon! I hope y'all have an awesome week!
So I was looking through my nail polish collection recently, and I realized that there are a bunch of polishes I haven't used in ages! I decided it was time to break out some old favorites and perhaps put them to new use. This was the result!

So as you can see I alternated shades of blue. The lighter blue is Essie Bikini So Teeny, and the darker blue is Essie Butler Please. I haven't used either of these in quite a while, which was obvious when I pulled the brushes out of the bottles. However, on the second coat of each polish they evened out. I did a sponge gradient on the ring finger using both colors. Not the cleanest gradient I've ever done, but it looks ok. On the rest of my fingers I did a glitter gradient using OPI Last Friday Night. I don't know why it's been so long since I used this one; it's freaking gorgeous! I think I probably could have used another layer of the glitter, but the light tip coverage looks nice too :) The other change I would make if I do this again would be to add a layer of the glitter on top of the gradient. As I played around with this glitter later on, I found that this glitter is rather thin on its own, so it would have worked nicely. However, if you do want full coverage with this glitter, you can sponge it on and it packs a punch!

I hope y'all enjoyed seeing my experimentation with old polishes! Let me know if you try something like this or what polishes you have in your collection that could use some love :) Hope y'all have a fantastic week!
Summer is in full force where I live, so I decided to do some summery nails. What better color to use than an aggressively bright pink?! This design is inspired by Kelli Marissa on YouTube. I thought it would be fun way to use a mega bright color without putting it all over my nail.

So for the base I used one coat of Essie Gel Couture in Fairy Tailor. I took some striping tape and laid it diagonally across the tips of my nails, starting at the right corner. Then I used one coat of China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy below the tape. I have now realized that I need to buy a new bottle of this one because mine is SUPER lumpy and old. After that I pulled off the striping tape and finished it off with Seche Vite top coat to give it a nice glossy finish.

So that is my fun, bright summer diagonal french! I love how this turned out! I'm going to have to do this type of mani with other colors in the future. I hope y'all have a great weekend!
I hope y'all have had a great last couple of weeks! This past weekend I went home to Orlando for a family reunion. I hadn't been home since December so it was fun to get to see my family again and be in familiar territory. One of my favorite (mundane) parts about going home is that I get to sort through my mom's nail polishes and paint my nails with some polishes that are not common among our collections. One thing I noticed is that my mom has a lot of shades in the pink/purple range, and in general a lot of polishes in the warm zone. I decided that while I had a different stash to play with and more time in which to do so, I would try to play with gradients. I did 2 different gradients in my time at home, but I am only going to share one with you. That is because the first one was almost indiscernible because the 2 colors I chose were far too close together. You really couldn't even tell I did a gradient at all. The second one, however, turned out quite nice! Here is my far more successful gradient.

So for this gradient I chose 2 different OPI purples. The lighter one is OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, and the darker one is OPI Hello Hawaii Ya? My mom has a whole lot of OPI polishes, and she likes the first shade I mentioned so much that she bought 2 of them. Anyway, I painted all my nails with the lighter shade, then on the ring finger did a gradient of the 2 shades with a cosmetic sponge. There are a crap ton of tutorials on how to do this on YouTube, so I'm not going to explain how to do this. I am not super great at gradients because I don't do them all that often, but I was pleasantly surprised at how successful this was. I think I need to look for some slightly less porous sponges in the future, because up close you can see some little speckles from the sponge in the gradient. Anyway I finished it off with Seche Vite top coat, which I am slowly falling back into love with.

So that is my gradient using my mom's polishes! I really need to do these more often because this one came out so nice. Hope y'all have a fantastic weekend!
I hope everyone had a stellar 4th of July! If you are reading this from another country, I hope you had an awesome Wednesday celebrating you :) Every year I try and do some sort of festive nails for the 4th. In the past I have done more literal versions of patriotic nail art, but this year I wanted to try something a little different. I apologize ahead of time that there is only one photo, I was only able to get one good one before I started doing things and dragging the design around (I'll explain in a second). Anyway, here it is!

So I started with a peel off base coat, since I had to take the polish off the next day for work. I think this is what caused the dragging. The design wasn't smudged (at least not from this), but it looked like the whole nail was pushed to the side. I think this may have something to do with the fact that this base coat is meant to peel off relatively easily. I plan on eventually doing a comparison on some different peel off base coats when I've tried some more and have some more experience using them.

Anyway, for the base color on all the nails except the ring finger, I used Essie Gel Couture polish in Fairy Tailor. I may do a post at some point about this line and the polishes I have within it. I really enjoy this polish as a nice sheer wash of color on the nails. I used two coats and still have a visible nail line, but that was fine since I covered up the tips anyway. The colors I used for the dots were OPI Unfor-Greta-bly Blue, Zoya Vanessa (red), and Pop-arazzi Icing on the Cake (white). I started by putting each color on a business card. I used several different sized dotting tools to achieve the fading effect. If you don't have dotting tools, you can use toothpicks and just vary the amount of polish you use. I tried to make the dots decrease in size as they got closer to the cuticle. I decided to do each size at once, not each color (does that make sense?), which may have been to my detriment. The dots of polish on the business card started to dry a bit after a while, so they got a little gummy. If you could see my other hand you would see little strings of red from after I placed some of the dots. I kept having to add more polish so that wouldn't happen. All that to say if you try this I would recommend either doing all of one color at once or testing the polish between rounds.

For my ring fingers I used the same white polish as a base and topped it with OPI Happy Anniversary. I also sponged on some of OPI Pirouette My Whistle for that glitter. Not gonna lie, this was not the look I was originally going for. I originally wanted sparkly silver glitter, but I am totally in love with the result I ended up with! I'm definitely going to have to do this on all my nails sometime. I've never sponged on this glitter, but now that I've tried it I realize how necessary it is. It is ordinarily so hard to get those big glitters in there, but sponging is a big help. I will say, however, use a makeup sponge or something along those lines. Don't use a sponge-tipped eye shadow applicator like I did. Not nearly as effective. I topped everything off with Seche Vite top coat.

So those are my 4th of July nails! Let me know what else y'all would like me to write about, and if you did anything fun for the Fourth I would love to see! Hope y'all have a great week!
Wow it has been a minute since I updated this blog! First of all, I have no idea if anyone even blogs anymore, but I'm going to attempt to resurrect Altogether Beautiful! Next, as you can tell, I am working on revamping things here in the hopes that I can turn a new leaf and use this as a creative outlet once again. We'll see if I can keep it up ;)

Yup, still me!

Let's start with a life update, shall we? Since I last posted on here I have graduated college and moved to Birmingham on a more permanent level. Obviously I have no idea where life will take me, but for the foreseeable future I will be hanging out here. I am currently working 2 jobs and attempting to stay sane. My love for all things beauty stays strong, although as you will find out in my posts I don't get to do as much nail art as I would like. I'm hoping to use this blog in order to provide a stress relief from my everyday life.

My love of nail polish fell away for a while because I have been working in food service and therefore haven't been able to paint my nails. However, in recent months I discovered two nail channels on YouTube that reinvigorated my obsession: Simply Nailogical and Nail Career Education. These ladies reminded me how much fun I have painting my nails, nail art or no. So thank you, ladies, for inspiring me once again! (Who am I kidding, they'll never read this blog) Go check them out!

In regards to this blog, I am going to pick a day of the week to post on so that I have some level of accountability and won't forget to post (hopefully). I will decide what day that will be and announce it in the next post. I'm thinking maybe either a favorites or a First Try post. I have several ideas for posts, so hopefully I can get things out into the world!

I am really excited to return to the internet, and I hope y'all enjoy the things to come! I would love to know what kind of things people are interested in seeing, so if you are reading this and have suggestions, please feel free to leave them in a comment below! Here are some photos from my life in the last few years so you can see what I've been up to.
I feel like a broken record saying I am sorry for the enormous gap between posts. This semester has been one of the most difficult of my life. Those of you who have been with me for a while will know that in August I lost a dear friend. I unintentionally took an extensive break from posting in order to focus on school, coping with this, and helping my friends through this time. However, this is 2015! It is a new year, and I am so excited to unlock what 2015 has in store. I have been painting my nails through this time, but it has been a lot less frequent, and to be honest none of the things I've done in that regard have been exciting enough to blog. I wanted to get a post up letting y'all know that I'm alive, nail painting, and ready to get back to blogging! Some things you can look forward to are a nail polish highs and lows of 2014 and something I haven't done before: a lip product post! I'm pretty obsessed with lip products so I figured it would be appropriate. Anyway I am really excited to be back and I can't wait for y'all to check out the upcoming posts! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
It brings me great sadness to be writing another post like this, but I feel I must share my heart with you. Friday night my suite mate and dear friend Trevelyn Campbell was killed in a car accident. She was an absolute light in the lives of those around her. She may be the most genuine person I have had the pleasure to know. If she gave you a compliment, she meant it. She spoke her mind, yet she would never hurt the feelings of another. I became friends with her in the last year. At first I wasn't sure how we would get along, but the more time I spent with her the more I grew to love her. She was a fellow beauty lover, sporting all kinds of fun lip and hair colors. She was one of the most amazing artists I've known. Her work simply blew me away every time. I got the privilege to live with her for the last two weeks during band camp, which was supposed to be the beginning of our year long adventure. Although I will not get the opportunity to spend as much time with Trevelyn as I would have liked, I know as a fellow daughter of Christ I will see her again in heaven.

I'm sorry to be such a downer, but I feel like her light should be spread. If any of you have any questions or need prayer for anything please feel free to comment below. Have a Super Sunday!
So today's post is my messing around with some new zoya polishes that I ordered online. These are definitely some of the best ones I've used from this brand. Hope y'all enjoy!
The color on my ring finger is Zoya Magical PixieDust in Cosmo, and the rest of the fingers have Zoya Blu. Cosmo is definitely my favorite of the PixieDust line. It is mostly silver glitter with other colors and holographics throughout. I like that there is a combination of big and small glitter, yet it's not as rough or sharp as the first round of the OPI liquid sand ones which were the same kind of deal. It takes a few coats to get the glitter solid, but it looks beautiful once you build it up. Blu is a great, solid baby blue. I've really been into light, creme finish polishes lately, and this one definitely fits the bill! I used two coats out of habit, but I probably could have gotten away with one. I also really like the way that these two polishes go together. Cosmo makes a great accent nail! I have really grown to love Zoya as a brand, and I can't wait to try more!

I hope y'all enjoyed this post, and please feel free to leave comments below on other posts you like to see. Have a Marvelous Monday!
So I'm a slacker. Don't judge me. But here I am! So I had to work on fourth of July this year :( but that doesn't mean that I couldn't do fourth of July nails! So... here they are!

So first of all, let's ignore the little polish mistakes that I didn't clean up. I got lazy. Anyway, this is a lot easier than it looks. I got several comments along the lines of "OMG how did you do that?" It's really not that hard. So for the red I used OPI Red Hot Rio. This is the only red I have that is not a purply red, and I think it worked out pretty well. The blue is OPI Unfor-Greta-bly Blue. The white is Julie G White Orchid. For the stripes, I started with the white and let it dry. I took some small pieces of striping tape, put it on my hand to unstick it a little, and then place the pieces vertically on my ring finger nail. Then I applied Red Hot Rio over the tape. Next I carefully pulled the tape off. Finally I finished all the nails off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.
I hope y'all enjoyed this post and had a great fourth! To close here's a picture of my family on the fourth.
Today's post is a cute look that I thought I'd give a shot. It's an interesting combination on nude polish and a bright color. If you try this out feel free to substitute the green I used for any other bright color you like.

Now each nail was done a little differently. For the pointer and pinky, I started with a base of Zoya Mitzi. This is a kind of sour green color. It has a matte finish, so if you want it to shine you'll need a top coat. I used some striping tape and made a diagonal. Then I painted over the nail (below the tape) with OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons. This polish is really growing on me. I was a bit hesitant about it when I first bought it but now I actually like it! For my middle finger and thumb I started with Don't Pretzel My Buttons as the base. Then I laid two pieces of striping tape in the middle of my nail in a chevron. Then I went over it with Mitzi. Be careful wen removing the tape so that you don't mess up the polish underneath. On my ring finger I simply used two coats of OPI DS Classic. Finished it all off with a coat of Seche Vite top coat.

I hope y'all enjoyed, and if you give it a shot then leave it in the comments below! Have a wonderful week!
Today's post is how I did my nails for my sister's high school graduation. Before I begin, I just want to say how proud I am of my sister. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. She is going to the same school as me in the fall, which is very exciting :) These are not my school colors (which would have been a good idea but I didn't think about that), but they went well with my dress. Enjoy!
I started with a base of two coats of OPI Antibreak. Then I used my Kiss art polishes in gold and black to add the stripes. I am personally proud of myself for how straight I made those lines. It's something so much more simple than you might think. I hope y'all enjoy this cute look, and have a magnificent Monday!
I hope y'all are having a fantastic day so far! Today I am doing my first actual nail post in quite some time. Sorry about that, but I've had a pretty busy life (as you may recall from my last update). Today I wanted to share with you a crosshatch design I saw on pinterest. It's super easy but cute at the same time.

I started with a base of OPI Steady as She Rose. I used two coats, but I probably should have used three. It came out a little thinner than I thought it would. I like this polish because it is flattering on my skin tone and is very work appropriate. For the crosshatch I used my Kiss nail art polish in black. I'll leave a link to the actual tutorial here since it's a little difficult to explain. One disappointment I had is that my Seche Vite top coat smudged my nail art. If any of you know of a quick dry top coat that won't smudge designs let me know in the comments below! I think this is a really cute and simple way to incorporate nail art into your nail routine. Hope y'all enjoyed, and have a fabulous Friday!
I thought I would update y'all on what's been going on in my life since my last post. I know it's been a while but I hope to get back in the game once I'm done with school for the semester. This has been a great semester. I've gotten to have some exciting new experiences. I was a part of a dance concert at the beginning of April, which is pretty new for me. I did theatre in high school, but I really have never done anything strictly dance before. It was kind of a favor for a friend, but I ended up having a lot of fun. Also I got to be a part of the percussion ensemble this semester. I may have talked about this before, but I am a music major, and my principle instrument is flute. Percussion is something I've never even dabbled with before this semester. I got to play steel drums which was an absolute blast. I really appreciate all the help I got from the guys in the ensemble, and I loved getting the opportunity to learn something new. In other news, y'all may remember a post I wrote about a year ago about my friend Lakim who passed away. We just had the one year anniversary for that tragedy. It was a tough day for a lot of my close friends, but it also served as a day of celebration for all the positive things that have come from his passing. Also, about a week ago I had my 20th birthday! I can't believe I have surpassed the teenage years. I had to play in the pit for my school's production of The Wizard of Oz that day, but that night my friends and I went to see Divergent in theatres. I really appreciate having friends who love me and made my birthday special. Here are some pictures of what's been going on! (sorry they're off center I couldn't get them to cooperate)
It's that time of year again and I have some nail designs to share that you might like to try! These are just fun, Valentine's Day themed nails that are simple and time friendly. Hope you give them a shot!

This first design is based on something I found on pinterest. I used two coats of Zoya Mickey as a base color. Then I used Essie Penny Talk for the french tips. In the pinterest post they used tape to get the french tips, but I just kinda freehanded it. This takes very little time if you have a steady hand.

This next design is my favorite of the two. I used OPI Steady as She Rose as the base. Then I used one of my dotting tools to plave two dots next to each other on the nail. Then I dragged the dots together to a point in order to make the hearts. For this I used OPI It's All Greek to Me. Warning: I would wait a bit for the hearts to dry before applying top coat. I smudged one of the hearts on my thumb because I used top coat too soon. I love how cute and simple this one is.

I hope you get a chance to try one or both of these out for Valentine's Day! If you do, I would love to see a picture of your take in the comments. Have a terrific Thursday!
Many of you may know that during January Zoya did a promotion where you pay shipping and choose three nail polishes for free. I apologize for not posting about it, but obviously I did an awful job of keeping up with the blog over the break. Anyway, I wanted to show y'all some swatches of what I got. I don't do very many swatch posts because I don't buy nail polish very often anymore, but I am going to try to swatch when I do buy. I apologize for the photo quality. I have the worst natural light in my room due to the winter conditions. I used two coats in every picture. Hope y'all enjoy!

This first polish I got is Heather. This is a light grey-ish purple creme shade with the teensiest bit of shimmer. I really like this color because it is subtle and appropriate for just about any occasion. The consistency is a little on the thin side but fairly easy to work with.

This polish is called Elodie. It is a gelly consistency coral color. This one was a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping for a bit more opacity, but it's still a pretty color. I might try this one over a white base and see what happens.

Before I continue I just want to apologize for the crappy pictures of this one. I was struggling to take the photo with my left hand. Anyway this one is called Vanessa. This is a purple toned red. I have been after this one for quite some time. This one has a slightly gelly consistency also, but it's much more solid color. I really enjoy this one. I haven't worn it for an extensive period of time yet, but I have high hopes for it :)
I hope y'all enjoyed this post, and I hope to have some valentine's day looks this week. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
I feel like a broken record when I say I'm sorry for being so absent on the blog lately. Things have been a bit crazy, plus the wifi at school can be a little on the slow side. Anyway today I have a quick post about a really fun nail design that I tried out the other day. I really think the colors are classy and fitting for any outfit. Also, I am going to add a bit of an update at the end so y'all can see a bit of what I've been up to :)
So for a base color I chose OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons. This is one color that I don't use very often. When I originally bought it I thought it was a little weird against my skintone, but now I am beginning to like it a lot. I waited for the base to dry so that the tape I used wouldn't pull all the polish off. Once it dried I placed pieces of striping tape in V formations on my ring finger nail. I painted over it with Sinful Colors Black on Black and then removed the tape. I finished it off with a layer of Seche Vite top coat. I really like the very southern, classy style of the chevrons. I think it has a pretty design, yet the subtle colors make it wearable. I hope y'all like it too! Now, on to the update!

So I had a great Christmas break/JanTerm. I worked pretty much the whole break. I am very grateful that I was able to return to the job that I had over the summer without any problems. I also enjoyed getting to see my family and spend time with my friends. Only downside: I got in a car accident about 2 weeks before I had to go home. My car wasn't able to be repaired, so I was not able to get a new one in time to come back to school so my grandpa flew me back.
Now that I'm back at school we've had quite an adventure! Y'all may have heard about the "snowstorm" that hit the south? Well my school got hit with that. School was cancelled for about a week. As usual I'm really sorry that I have been slacking in the blog department. Things have just been a little on the crazy side here. I thought I would just update you on whats been up with me. I did finish the September nail art challenge, I just never got around to posting the blog posts. In the last few weeks i've been really busy with playing concerts and doing school work. There has been some drama amongst my friend group, but that is only to be expected of any college student. My college football team is going to the playoffs which is really exciting! Unfortunately the band will not be playing. The upside is that I will get to spend more time with my family over Thanksgiving break. I have not been home since August and won't get to go home until December, but it will be good to get to see my family for a bit. I have three more weeks left in the semester, so hopefully I will be able to paint my nails more often and put up some more blog posts soon!
Hope y'all are having a great semester!
I apologize for this look being so late, but I've had a pretty busy weekend and haven't had time to write a post. Anyway, the theme for day three is school colors. My school's colors are red, white and blue, but I decided to substitute white for silver just so I could use a little glitter. Cuz who doesn't like a little glitter, right? :)

For a base color I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon in Navy Baby. I thought about using red as a base, but I think the navy is a little more classy. Then I used Zoya Sarah to add a red stripe on the side. The silver stripe was added with my Kiss silver glitter polish. This is one of my favorite ways to do my nails lately, and I think it does my school's colors justice. I hope y'all enjoyed, and stay tuned for more (day 4's design will be a little late too)! Have a terrific Tuesday, and bow wow bulldogs!!
Today I am posting the first of my September nail art designs! Today's theme is gold and teal. These colors represent childhood and ovarian cancer awareness, for which September is the month. Not gonna lie, this ended up reminding me of perry the platypus. Here's what I came up with!

I started with a base color of OPI Fly. This is a little darker teal than I was hoping for, but it works. Then I used OPI Goldeneye as a gradient. I'm really excited that this worked! I was a little bit skeptical as to whether this would work or not, so I'm glad to have discovered a new technique.
I hope y'all enjoyed, and be sure to stop back on Saturday for school colors day! Have a fabulous rest of your week!
First off, Happy Labor Day! I apologize that I haven't blogged in a while, but I've been getting settled back into the routine of school and my new room and roommate. So far it's been a really good year! Anyway, today I wanted to let y'all know about my plan for painting my nails in September. I found this on Instagram and decided it would be a great idea to keep me on track!

This is the basic chart of when I will be posting. Now I know you're probably thinking, "Wait a sec, today is the 2nd; where's the camo?" The answer to that question boils down to wearability. Not only is camo really difficult and a little above my skill level, but I really would never wear camo in real life. I do in fact have to go to class and band and things like that, so i'd like to enjoy what's on my nails :) Anyway, that's my plan for the month, and I will try to stay consistent. I will also be posting pictures on my instagram, so be sure to follow me at @theatre_geek1712. Also, be sure to follow @californails, the creater! I hope y'all enjoy this, and i hope you will join me! If you do decide to join in, be sure to leave a comment and use the hashtag #nailartsep. I hope y'all have a great week!
So today's post is an edgy half moon mani. I was trying to think of something fun to do with my nails that didn't require freehand. I really enjoyed doing this, and I hope y'all enjoy it as well!

For the base color I used OPI Suzi and the Seven Dusseldorfs. This is a beautiful warm purple shade. It takes two or three coats to get it solid (I used two for this), but it is definitely worth it! Next I placed two pieces of scotch tape on each nail in order to make a V. I painted the space it left with Sinful Colors Black on Black. This only took one coat. Then I used my Kiss gold glitter to outline the V shapes to clean up any messes made and give a gold pop.
I hope y'all enjoyed this, and I hope you'll give it a shot! I've got several posts planned, so keep your eyes peeled! Have a terrific Tuesday!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I got a new job so i've been a little busy. Also, my job requires me to open Pandora bracelets all day which takes a toll on my nails. However I have been painting my nails, so I have some posts coming up soon! Anyway, today's post is more playing with my striping tape :) I'm really having fun coming up with designs using this tape. Hope you enjoy!
So the base color I used is Zoya Jem. I hadn't used this one in a while, so I thought it would be a fun color to use. I applied one coat of Out the Door fast dry top coat and waited about 10 minutes for it to fully dry (mainly because I didn't decide to do the gold until later). Then I placed small pieces of striping tape diagonally along my ring finger nail and painted over them with OPI Glitzerland. If you've been reading my blog posts for a while then you will know that Glitzerland is one of my favorite and most used polishes. It's not one that I use all over my nails that often, but I use it all the time for details and designs. I think these colors go really well together. I know they're not very summery, but I was just feeling purple and gold.
I hope y'all enjoyed this, and if you're looking for striping tape you can find it pretty cheap on amazon.com.
Also, how would y'all feel about me doing some more personal posts/videos such as tags? Let me know in the comments below. I think in the next few days I might show y'all my nail polish collection. It's not huge, but I think it might be fun for y'all to see how I organize my polish and stuff. Anyway, have a fabulous day!
I started off with two coats of China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint on. This is a really pretty, shimmery mint color. The I placed two small pieces of striping tape on my nail, one just above the tip and the other diagonally from the top of the first. I then painted a coat of China Glaze Mimosas Before Manis. These two colors are so in this season! Next I used my black Kiss nail art polish to outline the tape lines, create the zigzag, draw stripes, and add polka dots. I used my Francesca's gold nail art polish to make the gold line along the top and used my gold Kiss glitter to fill in the black stripes. I had a lot of fun making this design!

The base color I used is Julie G Gelato in Venice. I love the formula of this polish! It is a little thick, but it goes on quite smoothly. For the white on my middle finger and pinky, I used OPI Alpine Snow, which I desprately need a back up of. I used a thin nail art brush to draw diagonal lines across those two nails. I then used the normal polish brush to fill in the top two triangles. I let that dry and then used my Kiss nail art polish in black to create the other diagonal lines. This creates an argyle effect. For the other three fingers I used the same base color and used OPI Berlin There, Done That on one third of each nail. I used my silver Kiss nail art polish to add the almost plaid look to the nails. As you can see, the design isn't perfect, but it was really fun to do and looks super cute :)
I hope y'all enjoyed, and have a terrific Tuesday!
